The 7 Characteristics You Will Need to be Successful (with Your Fat Loss)

Do you want to lose weight?

Yes?

Good!

Have you tried to lose weight before?

Yes?

OK.

Were you successful?

No?

Sorry to here that.

Do you know someone that was successful?

Yes?

How do you think they did it?

Willpower and luck.

No, I don’t believe that was it because one of those will help but it will only get you so far and the other one, let’s just say you make your own luck.

What made them successful then?

They were successful because they had the characteristics of someone who said that they will reach their fat loss goals.

What are these necessary fat loss characteristics?

Glad you asked.

Here are 7 characteristics you will need if you are going to be successful in your fat loss.

Fat Loss Success Characteristic #1:

Focus - You have to make your fat loss a top priority.  You can’t, and I mean can’t, put your fat loss on the bottom of your to do list and expect to get any results.  You have to attack it with laser like focus.  Will you have to knock some things on your list down a notch or two? Yes.  Will everyone involved understand?  Probably not.  But just imagine how motivated (and jealous) they will be when they see the new thinner you.  And if those people try to derail your fat loss.  Perhaps they shouldn’t have been high on the list in the first place.

Fat Loss Success Characteristic #2:

Honesty – Are you really eating healthy at least 90% of the time?  Or are you sneaking a few bonbons every day at work and not writing them down in your food journal? Are you working out as hard and as often as you can? Or are you only half-assing your workouts?  And that’s only when you feel like actually doing them. If you are not completely honest with yourself about how hard you are working and how much progress you actually made expect to stay exactly as you are.  Fat and unhappy.

Fat Loss Success Characteristic # 3:

Integrity - You must be willing to adhere to the actions, principles, values and methods that are necessary to lose fat.  And be honest and truthful with yourself and others while doing so.  You can not do things that a necessary for fat loss only when you feel like it or when people are looking.

Fat Loss Success Characteristic # 4:

Discipline – You will have to prepare healthy meals ahead of time.  You will have to eat out less.  You will have to stop buying junk food so that it will not be in your kitchen to temp you later.  You will have to get to the gym and kick your butt.

You must have discipline.

Without discipline there is no order.  Without order there is only chaos.  And if there is only chaos, you are just leaving things to chance and luck.  Chance and luck are just things people throw around when they don’t have the discipline to see things through.

Fat Loss Success Characteristic # 5:

Character – Do you have the qualities it take to be successful at fat loss? Are you willing to change your bad behaviors that hinder your fat loss?  Will you change your personality to that of someone who will finally be successful at fat loss.  If you can’t, you won’t.

Fat Loss Success Characteristic # 6:

Self-control –  Here is the aforementioned willpower I was talking about.  Self control is a must.  With all the sights and smells that you are inundated with everyday, it’s no wonder why 2/3’s of Americans are overweight.  To become part of the minority build up your mental armor and keep telling yourself that nothing tastes as good as the thought of being lean and healthy.

Fat Loss Success Characteristic # 7:

Perseverance – Sure you are going to have a bad meal/day/weekend.  What are you going to do about?  Are you going to consider your diet blown and give up? No,  you are going to realize that these things happen and that everybody slips.  Find out what made you slip, try to avoid it next time and get back on your fat loss track.

Now that you know the characteristics for fat loss success dig deep and find them in yourself.  Once you find that you had these characteristics all along, use them and get that lean, sexy body you always wanted.
